Shéhérazade

Ravel
96" x 96" - 244 x 244 cm
Acrylic & Oil on Canvas
Color arrives like evening music—neon dusk, bright currents, a chorus of hidden birds. In the drift between story and song, Scheherazade’s voice keeps the night alive; each glance finds another thread, another wingbeat, another reason to listen till dawn. Eleven birds are concealed across the canvas, waiting to be discovered.

This work responds to Maurice Ravel’s Shéhérazade, his lush orchestral setting of tales from One Thousand and One Nights.
