“Opus 1” begins like a score in colour—tones unfolding with the aching lyricism of Samuel Barber’s concertos
and the sacred weight of Mozart’s Mass in C Minor
. Planes of green, gold, and crimson shift like musical phrases, carrying the viewer through tenderness and rupture, fragility and strength. This work translates the transformations of postpartum experience into a visual symphony: layered, vulnerable, resilient. It is both a first movement and an opening prayer.
