Mahler I," the inaugural piece in Paula Arciniega's Mahler Project, resonates with the profound reflection of Gustav Mahler, who expressed, “My whole life is contained in them. I have set down in them my experiences and my suffering....I felt no sense of loss, for me, my 'hero' had lived, loved, and triumphed but was he dead...and if not who is there to resurrect in the second symphony?” Premiered in Budapest on November 20, 1889, conducted by the composer himself, this artwork captures the essence of Mahler's existential contemplation, inviting viewers to delve into the intricate interplay of life, love, and resurrection
