An early study where line and hush carry the gaze. Contours are tentative yet sure, color pared back to let presence speak. Vulnerability surfaces as steadiness—the body as subject, learning and insisting at once. What begins as observation opens to agency; a first step into form that keeps becoming.

Painted during the artist’s early years in San Francisco as her first sustained exploration of the nude. This foundational study seeded an ongoing series examining the female form.
